Refund & Cancellation Policy

At Travel Agency in Puri, we believe in 100% transparency. Please read our guidelines regarding booking confirmations and cancellation charges below.

1. Booking & Payment Confirmation

Because our bookings are personalized and managed manually by our local experts via WhatsApp and phone calls, we follow a strict confirmation process:

  • Initial Payment: To secure your cab or tour package, a partial advance payment is required to hold your vehicle.
  • Confirmation: Your booking is only confirmed once you provide a screenshot of the payment (UPI/Bank Transfer) and receive an official confirmation message from our team.
  • Balance Payment: The remaining balance must be paid in cash or via UPI to the driver or agency representative at the start of your journey.

2. Cancellation Timelines & Charges

We understand that travel plans can change. If you wish to cancel your booking, the following refund rules apply based on the time the cancellation request is received via WhatsApp:

10 Days or more before the trip 80% of the advance amount
3 to 9 Days before the trip 50% of the advance amount
Less than 72 hours (3 Days) before the trip No Refund

3. No-Show & Late Arrivals

  • Cab Wait Time: For cab services and airport pickups, the driver will wait for a maximum of 60 minutes from the mutually scheduled pickup time.
  • No-Show Policy: If you do not arrive or cannot be reached via phone/WhatsApp within this 60-minute window, the booking will be treated as a β€œNo-Show” and your advance payment will be entirely forfeited.

4. Force Majeure (Natural Calamities)

Odisha is a coastal state prone to sudden weather changes and occasional cyclones. In cases of extreme weather, government-imposed travel restrictions, or sudden temple closures:

  • We will actively attempt to reschedule your trip to a later, safer date.
  • If rescheduling is absolutely not possible for you, a partial refund may be issued after deducting any non-refundable costs we have already paid to hotels or third-party vendors on your behalf.

5. How to Request a Refund

To initiate a cancellation and refund request, you must message our official WhatsApp support number with the following details:

  • Your Full Name and Scheduled Booking Date.
  • The original payment screenshot used for booking.
  • Your exact UPI ID or Bank Account Details for the return transfer.

Note: Approved refunds will be processed and credited to your account within 5–7 working days.
